Windsor/Essex Jane’s Walks 2024 feature 32 Community-led, free, walking tours. Follow the link to make your plan today!

The Festival begins on Friday, April 26, 2024 at noon in Leamington. Join Jill Nicholson to learn about 100 Years of Mennonites in Essex County. 

At 2pm, Olivia Laforet of the ACO will be leading a walk through the history of Seacliff Park in Leamington.


On Saturday, April 27, 2024, walks kick off at 9:30am with Chris Carter in Olinda, Essex County’s only Ghost Town!

At 11am, head over to Kingsville for two walks to learn about the Business in the North and Party in the South setup of the town. 

Follow that at 2:30pm at John R. Park Homestead with a family friendly walk to learn about the Wildlife Families of Fox Creek!

At 3:45pm, join Ken Turner and Kris Ives in a walk from John R. Park Homestead to explore the Iler Cemetery.

Cap the day off at 5pm by joining Heritage Colchester to learn about the story of the first English planned town west of Niagara on the Lake.


Sunday, April 28, 2024 features a full day in Amherstburg!

Start your day at 9:30am with Meg Reiner of the Marsh Collection to learn about the Historic Buildings of the Burg.

At 10:45am, walk with Sophie Hinch of Art Windsor/Essex to learn about the art in downtown Amherstburg.

At 1:00pm, Meg Reiner is back with her colleague, Kara Folkaringa to talk about Amherstburg’s Marine History.

At 2:15pm, join the ACO’s Robert Honor to learn about Amherstburg’s Old Burial Grounds.

Cap off your day at 3:30pm with Mary-Katherine Whelan & Dr. Lorene Bridgen-Lennie at the Amherstburg Freedom Museum to learn about Black History in Amherstburg!
