This post is the thirty-seventh in a series in which we reached out to municipal candidates to ask their heritage platform. Responses will be posted in the order received.
The thirty-seventh to respond was Brad Krewench, Candidate for LaSalle Town Council. The responses are in the candidate’s own words only slightly edited in a way that doesn’t in any way change what they said.
I strongly believe in heritage conservation, preservation and adaptive reuse. I myself love history and believe we should do all we can to preserve what little we have left, because once it is gone, it is so hard to tell the story of those that came before us. I personally Perform at airshows all over the USA, Canada and Europe jumping from WW2 C47 aircrafts trying to ensure that the history from the heroes back then do not become forgotten.
Some historical landmarks I love in the Essex County area are Fort Henry, Amherstburg Freedom Museum, and I am very much so looking forward to seeing how the Town turns the Benoit House into a cultural hub.
