This post is the thirty-fourth in a series in which we reached out to municipal candidates to ask their heritage platform. Responses will be posted in the order received.
The thirty-fourth to respond was Lauria Lucier, Mayoral Candidate – Town of Kingsville. The responses are in the candidate’s own words only slightly edited in a way that doesn’t in any way change what they said.
Protecting and preserving our built and natural heritage in Kingsville is one of my top priorities. Kingsville has some incredible parks and buildings that make our town beautiful and unique, contributing to tourism and connecting residents to our past. We have a fabulous historic walking tour and our historic homes and buildings are an important part of the fabric of our town. One of my favourites is the iconic Carnegie library building at 28 Division St. S., which is now a beautiful Arts and Visitors Centre. I am committed to protecting our cultural heritage for future generations.
