N&D Shopping Experience

I loved shopping at the N&D. I’d spend hours there talking to friends and neighbours doing their weekly shop. The girls at the cash registers were all so sweet. You didn’t see the changing faces so much like you do today and the girls would ask after families or people you knew in common and they really cared. There was none of the “I’m too busy” attitude you see today. You mattered to them. The boys would make sure your groceries were bagged right and would push the buggy out to the car and load up the trunk. That was when service mattered. We need small town grocery stores with old world feelings to come back.
