Tug Boat Races

My family has a tradition of watching the Tug Boat Races on the waterfront. My grandparents and aunt and uncles and cousins (and now their children) take a picnic lunch and blankets and sit on the hill near the bridge near the statue of the bear. I don’t remember ever knowing who won the race, the fun for us was just to watch and have a relaxing day together. The younger kids play and the older folks and teens sit on the hill and chat. In my memory, the day has always been nice and sunny and so relaxing that I feel energized thinking about it.
