The Windsor Bulldogs were the best. I never missed a home game. Watching the likes of Jack Costello, Lou Bendo, and Joe Zorca on the ice was a thrill. People in the stands would scream for our team and at the other team and don’t you be the likes on London on the ice because it wouldn’t stay in the arena. I witnessed many a fight outside of the arena where guys would carry their friends away. Not to stop the fight but because the loudmouth had gotten the worst of it. Those were the days where if hockey had rules, no one cared. Hockey was exciting then. You have your guys today but no one like the old school.
